What is your definition of Wicca?
So, I am reading about a former Military Chaplain now convert to Wicca, who was given the boot.
You can read it here. Nothing really new to talk about, but I noted this statement in the article:
"Although no religion is easily summed up in a sentence, most Wiccans would probably agree that Wicca is a nature-based religion rooted in a conviction that the Divine permeates all life."
Yes. I agree. In fact, I believe this is teh first time that I have read any attempt at definition or description of Wicca that I really feel comfortable knowing other people are reading. This brings me to this post.
I have at various times and inclination tried to define what Wicca is in clear yet non-restrictive ways. Though, honestly, I never thought about a "
conviction that the Divine permeates all life." This is cornerstone to our beliefs and convictions related to the Divine and somehow I failed to mention it THAT clearly. I am humbled and impressed.
SOOOOOO... I was hoping to get a little interaction from my own readers: How do you personally define Wicca, and what definition do you give to non-Wiccans?
