New Galleries and Photos

I've added some galleries and photos!

I've added a gallery for our Sedona photos -- the one of me and 'dancer was waitress-taken at the Heartline Café, which as regular readers know, we love and recommend. I've removed the wonky pix from Barleycorn's gallery (and apparently need to take more of Our Doggie). I've added a Pirates gallery of a few photos from ~last~ New Year's Eve, and one called Summer Fun for our recent pool party. I also put a few more pix in the Beltane gallery.

A note: we blur our friends' faces when we post photos, because we're just not sure how public they want to be on an out-of-the-broom-closet Witch's blog. Most of them are, actually, out of the broom closet their ownselves, but .... I guess it's 'cause I'm a writer, and go by the rule of needing signed releases when anything I "publish" includes other people's work, or identifiable photos of them. The fact is, if you know them, blurring their faces won't fool you. If you don't know them, you can still see what they're doing and how much they're enjoying it, which is really why we're putting them on the blog anyway. :-)

It's been raining today, which is wonderful -- except that it keeps the Big Pool too cool for us to get into. (We took the Lounging Pool down after the party, but we expect to enjoy the Big Pool till mid-October.)

I finally "get" why people like pools. It's a pain to drain and clean and all, yeah, but while I'm ~in~ it, I ... can't do anything else! Most of the time I'm doing (or trying to do) several things at once, so it's a real luxury just to float and gaze up at the trees and NOT be able to read or write or talk on the phone or be on the Internet. Okay, I do occasionally have to wrestle with The Evil Mr. Duckie, who tries to drown me at least once or twice every time I get in the pool, but apart from that, it's ever so restful, and we both find it wonderfully -- and healthfully -- relaxing. :-D

I hope you enjoy the new photos, and that you're finding ways to relax, too.

Blessings,
Ashleen
